Beehive 16U Win USSSA Gulf Coast A Class National Championship
July 29, 2023
Gulf Coast, AL- 52 Beehive girls hit the Gulf Coast this past week competing in the USSSA National Championships and the MVP Southern Nationals. It was crazy HOT with almost zero breeze. And every single girl that went down came home with World Series bling! Our 8U and 14U teams finished in 4th place in their tournaments, our 12U placed 3rd and our 16U girls did the unthinkable by winning the 16U A Class National Championship!
Our 8U girls dropped a heartbreaker in the semifinals 14-13 but wrapped up a 3x champion season finishing 4th place. Coach Rachel did an amazing job this season turning our babies into a mean hitting bunch of ballplayers. On the week Annistyn McMullen and Avery Creed led the way offensively with batting averages of 1.000 and .909. Even with Coach pitch, those are crazy averages!
The 14U squad wrapped up their season of insane comebacks finishing 4th in the Open Class national championship after dropping their 1st bracket game. What did they do after that? What they always do, they ran off 4 straight Wins before succumbing to the heat and the horrendous scheduling of a 3rd straight game in 100 degree temps. Rayna Smith led the way offensively this week batting at an incredible .684 clip over 9 games. On the year Addison Belyeu and Lindsey Moulton as well as Rayna were the offensive workhorses all finishing with +.400 batting averages. On the mound Rayna, Lindsey, Kimber White, Madison Davis and AC Minor formed a true pitching staff that operated selflessly and fluidly as a unit.
Our 12U Abbott team wrapped up their season finishing with an incredible 30-6 record on the year after going 6-2 in Foley and finishing 3rd place overall! On the year KK Corbitt and McCall Clayton led the way for this group offensively but this week was all about Jaylee Williams who batted over .700 on the week. Meanwhile, AC McDaniel, Mary Riddle and Cali Rayfield worked the mound per usual with AC pitching a perfect game on Friday.
Our 16Us battled A Class teams from Florida, Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, and Louisiana bringing home to Lee County a National Championship in the late hours of the night Friday. Daley Alsobrook was awarded the MVP of the entire tournament after batting .480 over 10 games with 12 hits including 1 HR and 5 Doubles. Abigail Helms was named Outstanding Pitcher of the tournament after pitching 19 innings giving up ZERO earned run and only 5 hits. Over 33 innings pitched during bracket play, Abi, Charis Nichols and Taylor Price gave up a grand total of 7 Earned Runs against 6 different A Class teams from across the country.
It was an incredible season for all 75 players in our organization. The trophy cases have grown richer. But far more importantly every single girl has grown in the game and in life through all the battles and all the focused practices by our top tier coaching staff. It is time for a few weeks off the diamond before Fall ball starts back up! Tryouts coming up on August 13!
We are so proud of all of our girls, our coaches and our parents

Beehive 14U-2026 Goes on Amazing Run in Colorado Sparkler Bracket Play, Finishing 8th
July 2, 2023
Denver, Colorado-Words have not been written adequately enough to describe what our 14s did this weekend to conclude their 1st trip to the nation’s largest softball showcase. After losing their 4 pool games and their 2nd bracket game on Friday morning, they were faced with the gauntlet of winning 5 games on Saturday to make it to Championship Sunday. Most girls would have laid down after such a rough start. Not these girls. In what is the most remarkable 24 hours of clutch hitting and pitching we have ever seen, Coach Madison’s 14s found themselves and PUT.ON.A.SHOW.
The biggest moment of the day came in game 4 on Saturday when the girls went to ITB 8th inning with 1 out when Madison Davis stepped to the plate and crushed her 1st out of the park HR of the season. There just arent words. On the week this group figured out how to make the ball fly into the Colorado air hitting 14 HRs!!! Lindsey Moulton hit 5, A.C. Minor hit 4, Addison Belyeu hit 3 and Madison hit 2. Clutch hitting was spread throughout the lineup with Sydney Dunlap working like a giant in the leadoff spot and Jaiden Pitts in the 2nd leadoff spot for all the power bats to drive around the bases. Karlee Baker, Rayna Smith, Kendall Price, and Kimber White all came through with big timely hits over and over again. Pitching was unreal during the gauntlet stretch with Rayna, AC and Lindsey carrying the bulk of the load.
After winning 5 straight on Saturday, these girls were not done winning a 6th straight early Sunday morning before running out of gas in the National Quarterfinals.
These girls made memories that they will carry with them the rest of their lives this week. Albeit a cliche, this is why we travel to tournaments like this. We are so damn proud of you girls as well as Coach Madison for showing all of us the heart of a champion.
Beehive 16U - 2025 Wins Two Games in Colorado Sparkler Power Pool
16U put on a show against a Los Angeles based Athletics team winning 10-2 with Daley, Meg and Abi all going yard. Game 2 was a learning experience against a very good team from Connecticut. Defense fell flat and we had 12 LoB. Winning or learning.
Our 16s stepped up this year to the power pool of the CO Sparkler. We knew the competition was going to be intense. But the girls and coaches nevertheless were disappointed in their 2 bracket losses losing 4-3 in another heartbreaking walk off loss to the CSC Bengals (California) and then 8-6 later Saturday night against a hard hitting Athletics team from California. Lessons were learned and experiences were gained. Abi Helms finished the week with 3 HRs with Daley Alsobrook and Megan Overton each hitting 2. This group is heading home to enjoy the 4th before gearing up for their next Major event: the Atlanta Legacy. Coaches from Auburn, Utah, Utah St., South Alabama, Connecticut, TCU, Oklahoma St. and several others took in the entirety of their games this week.
Congratulations to Abigail Helms - Best Spin Rate - Pitchers at the Colorado Sparkler CSE Evaulations
Congratulations to All of Our All-Area Selections
